Wedding Catering Scotland
Bespoke Scottish wedding catering — seasonal menus, signature cocktails and full coordination from our Ayr kitchen.
Wedding Catering Scotland
The Square Plate is an independent wedding caterer based in Ayr, working with couples across Scotland to deliver food and service that guests genuinely remember. From intimate Highland elopements to grand celebrations in Glasgow and the Borders, we bring the same obsessive care to every plate.
Our menus are built around seasonal Scottish produce — Ayrshire beef, west coast seafood, Lanarkshire lamb, heritage vegetables from local growers — and tailored to the venue, the guests and the kind of day you want.

Why Choose Us
Every wedding menu is built from scratch around what's growing, swimming and grazing in Scotland that month — not pulled off a brochure.
Food, cocktail bar and on-the-day coordination from a single trusted team. Less to manage, fewer suppliers to chase, a calmer build-up to the day.
Marquees, castles, country houses, distilleries, barns, beachside hotels — we've cooked in all of them. We arrive prepared and leave the kitchen spotless.
No two weddings are the same. Tasting sessions, dietary tailoring and a menu that reflects your tastes, your story and your guests.

Most Scottish weddings we cater for fall between £75 and £150 per guest for food alone, depending on menu style, course count and service level. Drinks packages and coordination are priced separately so you only pay for what you need.
Yes. We're based in Ayr but cater weddings across Scotland — from Ayrshire and Glasgow to Edinburgh, the Borders, Argyll, Stirlingshire and the Highlands. Travel costs are transparent and agreed in advance.
Absolutely. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy-aware menus are part of every wedding we plan. We treat every guest's plate with the same care as the rest of the room.
We do. Most Scottish couples book us for food, drinks and coordination as one package — one team, one contact, one beautifully run day.
For a Saturday between May and September, 12–18 months is sensible. Off-peak dates and smaller weddings can often be accommodated with 4–9 months' notice.
